| Screen record | Phone screen recorder | Zero setup; built in. Record vertical (9:16). |
| Screen record | QuickTime (Mac) | Already installed; drag a tall region. |

Record & ship a faceless Reel — 5 steps
- Pick the moment. One real thing you built, broke, or fixed. Bump your editor font to 22–28px and zoom on the lines that matter.
- Capture the screen. Record a tight 15-second vertical clip: problem → result → fix. Leave headroom at the top for text.
- Record the voiceover. Separately, quiet room, phone mic close. One line that sets up the hook. Re-record any flub — keep the clean take.
- Edit in CapCut — four moves only. Big hook text on frame one · trim dead space · fast cuts · auto-captions. Stop there.
- Ship it. Export, add trending audio, post. Done beats polished — the feed tells you what's good, not another hour of tweaking.
Rule of thumb
If you can't read the code holding your phone at arm's length, neither can a scroller. And if the edit took more than 15 minutes, you're polishing instead of shipping — cut it and publish.
